Why you are being asked these questions and how your information will be used.
Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) help healthcare providers and the health system learn about health outcomes that matter to patients. PROMs are questionnaires that ask for information about health outcomes from the patient’s perspective.
Anyone receiving health care can complete these questionnaires, not just patients. This could be a carer, nominated support person, or a healthy health insurance member as some examples.
Some benefits of using PROMs and the eHealthier platform include:
- Enhancing communication between you and your healthcare provider
- Tracking your progress
- Helping you to make informed decisions about treatment
- Helping health care providers perform continuous quality improvement in their services
