GENERIC HEALTH OUTCOMES ASSESSMENT
eHealthier recommends both generic and body part-specific Functional Health Assessments (Patient Reported Outcome Measures or PROMs) to measure and help restore functional health.
These PROMs (or when delivered via an electronic device, electronic Patient Reported Outcome Measures – ePROMs) reflect recommendations made in the American Medical Association’s sixth and most recent Permanent Impairment Guidelines, which has adopted the functional health model.
“We offer an easy, affordable, web-based way to capture
the assessment of an injured patient’s physical
and emotional state.”
ePROMs provide a special benefit for injury insurers, as their usage has already been shown to reduce insurance claims for permanent impairment by 20 per cent on average¹.
The SF-12v2
For a generic snapshot of a client’s current functional health status, eHealthier typically recommends the SF-12v2, a well-respected measurement tool that asks 12 questions regarding a person’s health status and provides stable, replicable and dependable information about a client’s physical and emotional issues.

The DYNHA 36
eHealthier particularly recommends the DYNHA 36, a computer-based version of the SF-36 that puts less burden on clients because it adapts to a client’s responses, often omitting to ask questions that are irrelevant to the person being assessed. While it is interactive and quick, it is no less scientifically valid or reliable, and achieves a high level of accuracy.

The PROMIS Global 10
eHealthier also recommends the Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) Global 10 Generic health assessment PROM, a computer-based generic health assessment that puts less burden on clients because it can be easily completed online by a standard hand held device. While it is interactive and quick, it is no less scientifically valid or reliable, and achieves a high level of accuracy.
